About me and my blog
Hi, I’m Hannah, a passionate writer and autistic advocate . I hold a BA Hons in English Literature and Journalism, and I’m currently pursuing an MSc in Autism. Through my studies, professional work and personal experiences, I’m committed to advocating for greater accessibility, inclusivity, and understanding for autistic individuals.
As a writer, I strive to amplify the voices of the neurodiverse community, raise awareness about the challenges we face, and challenge societal perceptions. I believe that through education, empathy, and the dismantling of barriers, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of how they think or interact with the world.
Baking is my way of escaping the world. When I bake, I can focus on the simple tasks—mixing, measuring, and watching things come together. It helps me block out everything else and just be in the moment. There’s something calming about it, and the end result always gives me a sense of accomplishment. It’s a space where I can relax, recharge, and enjoy the process without distractions.
Join me as I share insights, stories, and practical ideas to help build a more inclusive society for all.
ALSO, CAKE!
Why I write:
As an autistic individual, I understand first hand the challenges of navigating a world that isn’t always built with neurodivergent people in mind. My journey has shaped my passion for advocating for greater accessibility, inclusivity, and change from the ground up. Through writing and sharing news, I aim to amplify the voices of those who are often overlooked, challenge misconceptions, and foster a society where neurodiversity is embraced. This work isn’t just important to me—it’s personal. It’s about creating a world where all minds are valued and supported.
It’s easier to connect when you have a face to go with the story. So, here’s a collage of me and my life—pieces of who I am, what I love, and the journey I’ve been on. Each photo is a glimpse into the things that shape me, the moments that matter, and the experiences that help me connect with others. I hope it gives you a better sense of who I am and the world I navigate.
